A recent testimonial for Marie from a young person she supported using CBT for anxiety and OCD:

"I found sessions very, very useful in terms of working on improving my way of thinking and having someone to talk to and understand how I’m feeling.

I think that these sessions are very useful if you are someone who is prepared to attempt to do things they find difficult at first, to benefit them in the long term. I would be very likely to recommend Marie!"

Marie has over 20 years of experience working with people including families and children/young people in the community and various mental health settings. She has experience of working with people diagnosed with Autism/ADHD and people experiencing depression, anxiety and various other complex mental health needs including trauma, PTSD, personality disorders & psychosis.

Marie has learned how people’s lives can be adversely affected by poor mental health, which guided her to train as a HBABCP accredited Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapist. She was motivated as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is widely recognised as one of the most effective forms of treatment for people coping with depression and anxiety and other emotional disorders. Together, through the application of the skills Marie has developed through her professional training and the knowledge gained through her experience/education over the years, she continues to deliver effective support to children/young people and adults experiencing psychological distress. Marie has supervision with two BABCP Registered CBT Supervisors and professional indemnity insurance. Marie has a warm interpersonal style and her enthusiasm for her work really shows!
