Dr Laura Keyes and her Associates are qualified and experienced in providing therapy for young people and adults for a range of difficulties related to mental wellbeing, including:
Negative thinking - depression, self-critical thoughts, low self-esteem/confidence, shame, anger, self-harming.
Anxiety difficulties - worry, "generalised" anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), health anxiety, social anxiety, phobias such as claustrophobia and fear of flying.
Trauma related problems - including childhood emotional neglect (CEN), childhood sexual abuse, rape, traumatic accidents, adjustment disorder and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Sleep difficulties - insomnia, recurrent nightmares.
Eating issues & addictions - binge eating, weight loss, smoking etc
Physical pain related issues - chronic pain, managing long term health conditions such as CFS & MS, adjustment to and managing disability, coping with disfigurement.
Difficulties associated with neurodevelopmental conditions - diagnostic assessment and/or support around Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury and traumatic brain injury. ADHD, Autism and Learning Disability and learning difficulty assessments provided.
Parent-child relational difficulties - attachment and separation anxiety, sleep problems, soiling/encopresis, phobias, eating difficulties, behavioural and conduct difficulties. Bullying and academic difficulties.
We work 1:1 with young people in creative ways using talking, drawing, storytelling, videos and books, and alongside their parents for indirect sessions where appropriate. We work 1:1 with adults with talking therapy and use other approaches as appropriate.
